The Himalayas of Nepal is considered as the land of gods because of the purity, beauty, and serenity. Though the frontiers of Nepal opened after 1949 to the outsiders, the trekking and mountaineering industry of Nepal flourished after the first ascent of Mt. Everest by Mr. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953. Fascinated by beauty and challenge, hundreds of Expeditions are organized to scale the mountains in the Nepalese Himalayas by climbers all over the world. Legendary traveler Bill Tillman first obtain the permission from the King to trek in Nepal in 1949 and Col. Jimmy Roberts opened the first trekking “Mountain Travel Trekking Agency”, a government registered company in Nepal in 1964. They laid the foundation and paved the path to 4000 new companies of modern times thus creating an entirely new tourism ecosystem of Nepal. More and more trekking destination are opening every year.
